This website provides information on the growing number of choices in schools for students
in New York State - and the continuing need for more choices. Many students remain trapped in
low-performing schools, and because of poverty, location of their home, or the monopolistic
control of traditional public education bureaucracies, have no realistic alternative.
The development and promotion of charter schools, privately-funded scholarship programs in New
York is only the beginning of what many view as the next civil right: a high-quality education
for all children, regardless of income or race.
Be sure to check "Today's News" articles each weekday on school vouchers and scholarships,
charter schools,
and education tax credits.
